Fiber cartoon statue Batul and his friends

Product Description

Celebrate one of the most iconic characters in Indian comic book history with Plutus Art’s Fiber Cartoon Statues featuring Batul the Great and his friends — a set of lovable fiberglass cartoon statues that brings the beloved hero of Narayan Debnath’s classic Bengali comic strip to three-dimensional life. Batul — the enormously strong, good-natured hero whose adventures have delighted generations of readers since the 1960s — is rendered in these fiber cartoon statues at real live character proportions, capturing all the visual humor, warmth, and distinctive personality that has made him one of the most cherished figures in Indian comic literature.

This set of fiberglass cartoon statues includes Batul and his friends at life-size proportions: Batul at 5 feet height reflecting his characteristically imposing, powerful build, and his companions at 4 feet height. Each figure is individually sculpted with careful attention to the visual vocabulary of Narayan Debnath’s original artwork — the distinctive character designs, facial expressions, and proportions that generations of readers have grown up with. NC DUCO paint with clear lacquer ASPA is used on each fiber cartoon statue to achieve vivid, lasting colors that accurately and lovingly represent these beloved characters.
